Outdoor & Nature Photography Workshop, Sept. 13-14, 2018

Hike the Highlands is pleased to announce they will be hosting a two-day Outdoor & Nature Photography Workshop on Sept. 13-14 with Wally Hayes, one of Nova Scotia's finest professional photographers. This workshop will be held before the start of the 15th Annual Hike the Highlands Festival Sept. 14-23.

This Outdoor & Nature Photography workshop is limited to 20 participants. The registration fee for this two day workshop is $75.00. You can register and pay online at Hike the Highlands website. The workshop is open to photographers who use DSLR, Mirrorless & point and shoot cameras.

The workshop will cover a variety of subjects related to camera settings for various photographic subjects and choice of lenses and other accessories such as tripods, flash, filters etc. Part of the discussion, both in a classroom briefing and out on a field trip would cover camera technique, choosing and using lenses effectively, handling various lighting situations and other tricks of the trade.

For the last 25 years, Wally has photographed Nova Scotia extensively for the Nova Scotia Tourism department and his personal library, film & digital, numbers over 750,000 images. He is also know in the industry as ‘WallyVision’ for his elaborate multi-projector, multi-screen audiovisual shows which he has taken to audiences around the world. His largest show, for an audience of 2,500 Canadian, American and European travel agents, used 21 slide projectors on 15 screens reinforced by a cast of more than 50 live performers.
