Ontario Women in Law Enforcement presents: CONNECT - Inspire, Empower, Innovate

About this Event

OWLE's annual training day is open to all Sworn and Civilian law enforcement members (women and men) and to our policing partners. Get your tickets today! Great opportunity to learn and network with Policing Professionals from across the Province!

Location: Mississauga Grand Banquet Hall - 35 Brunel Road, Mississauga. Easy access from all major highways (407,401,403) - Hurontario Road just south of Britannia Road. Free parking. Please note there is no ATM on site - don't forget to bring cash!

Registration: 7:30 am to 8:00 am.

Event: 8:00am to 3:30pm.

Cost: $70 OWLE Members and $85 Non-Members.

Includes: Light breakfast, lunch, free wi-fi. The host kitchen can only accommodate vegetarian and gluten free meals. Please indicate meal choice when registering. OWLE merchandise will be available for sale!

Attire: Business casual.

For those out of town attendees there are a limited number of rooms reserved at the Hilton Garden Inn located at 100 Traders Blvd. West, Mississauga. The hotel is across the street from the banquet hall. To make a reservation call (905) 890-9110.

The speakers for the day include:

Project Links: This case overview will be presented by the investigative team from Hamilton Police Service who lead a six month multi-jurisdictional investigation called Project Links, which was triggered by a seven year old girl who was being sexually abused by her mother's boyfriend and being trafficked on Craigslist. This extensive investigation resulted in 9 arrests, 14 search warrants, 15 production orders and over 100 electronic devices and computers seized.

Sydney Siegmeth - AXON VP Global Communications & Events - She will be provide a high level of overview of Axon, including some of the innovative technologies now being leveraged across Canada and around the world. She will also share her experiences as a woman working in what traditionally has been a male dominated law enforcement weapons company that has been reborn as a diverse and inclusive world class public safety technology leader.

Supt. Pauline Gray - Toronto Police Service & Chief Supt. Janis Gray - RCMP: These two powerhouse sisters of policing will be speaking on "Gray Matters: Life Lessons & Leadership".

Cst. Peter Tucker - OPP: This veteran Ontario Provincial Police Officer beat the odds twice after being involved in two separate motorcycle crashes where he almost lost his life. Cst. Tucker's pure resilience made him come back strong and determined, refusing to let these crashes define him.

Andi Clark - 911 Lifestyle: Ms. Clark is a mom, wife of a police officer and creator of the program 911 Elite Performance where she helps First Responders take control of their sleep, energy, anger and prevent burnout without overwhelm, prescriptions or talking it out. She will being speaking on the 3 Simple Steps to Become an Elite First Responder!
