Event description

Description

We believe that the some of the best childhood memories come from exploring nature, making discoveries, building a campfire, hiking through the fields and forests, finding frogs and water creatures and connecting with the natural world.

Our highly skilled team will share their passion and knowledge of nature and outdoor adventure with your child. Our goal is to connect your child to a lifetime of appreciation for nature and the outdoors.

Our staff to camper ratio is 1:8. All staff have first aid training.

Camp is from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Supervision is provided from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m free of charge.

Children ages 6-12 (born 2006-2012)

Let everyday be Earth Day. Campers will learn and explore in our wonderful property as well as lending a hand to help the environment. We will provide a campfire lunch. Your camper will have an opportunity to cook hotdogs and marshmallows over a campfire.

Sticks and stones are the most versatile building materials. What will your camper create? Campers will take part in Nature Play activities to explore and spend time outdoors. We will provide a campfire lunch. Your camper will have an opportunity to cook hotdogs and marshmallows over a campfire.

FAQS

What should my child bring to the camps?

Our programming takes place outside as much as possible. We don't let the weather keep us indoors. To make sure that your child has the best possible experience at camp, please be sure to send them with the following items:

- Extra snacks and a refillable water bottle – we work up a good appetite every day! Litter free is best.

- Closed-toe footwear

- Raincoat, splash pants and boots,

- Coat, warm hat and mittens (for cold days)

- Sun hat and sun screen

- Rain gear – just in case!

- A full change of clothes and shoes.

Please check the weather each day and make sure that your child is prepared for the outdoors. Please label all belongings.

Who can I contact with questions?

After registering you will be sent a camp information package. This will hopefully answer all your questions but if you have any specific questions feel free to email guelphlakenc@grandriver.ca

What is the refund policy?

Full refunds will be granted if requested 7 days before the program. Refunds requested after that time will be subject to a $25 administration fee.
