Lecture Description:

Exercise by definition; "activity requiring physical effort, carried out especially to sustain or improve health and fitness". Do your exercise goals match your patient’s exercise goals in the rehabilitation process? The first thought for most patients and therapist is to make the patient "strong". "Strong" is generally the wrong and last place to start! What is the role of "closed chain" exercise in lower limb rehabilitation and what is the role of "open chain" exercise? Where, when and how? Why don’t we do objective strength testing any longer? 10,000 reasons to test.
