The Pride Centre of Edmonton and BMO present: Paint the Town Red 2017!

Join us for an evening of music, dancing, food, drinks, silent auction, door prizes, fabulousness and a whole lot of fun, all in support of the Pride Centre of Edmonton.

This year, we are very excited to bring you one huge party spread across three great venues.

Start the night by joining us for the community launch of the new Pride Centre of Edmonton. Tour this exciting new space and learn more about the services offered by the Pride Centre, all while enjoying wonderful live acoustic music, snacking on delicious food, bidding on wonderful silent auction items, and mingling with the other attendees.

Finally, after the door prize is announced and the silent auction closes, limos will take you in style to the final venue: Evolution Wonderlounge. Diana Stabel (Dirtbag Café, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.)

Local songbird Diana Stabel has been gracing Edmonton and area’s stages for over ten years. Her vocal prowess and passion for many musical styles, spanning musical theatre, jazz, pop and folk, led her to develop a versatility rare in singers. Stabel’s jazz album, Wave, allowed her career-advancing opportunities, such as performing a duet to "Baby It's Cold Outside" with Colin James as part of the Colin James & Little Big Band’s Christmas Symphony tour as well as sharing the Jubilee stage with Adam Cohen in a tribute to his father, Canadian folk legend Leonard Cohen. She's also performed with Juno Award winners Tom Cochrane, Tom Lavin and Bill Bourne at the Winspear Centre in a concert celebrating the career of hockey icon Mark Messier. You may have heard Stabel at the La Ronde Revolving Restaurant where she sang for five years or more recently at Renaissance YEG.

Nadine Kellman (Dirtbag Café, 8:00 – 9:00 p.m.)

Nadine Kellman is guitarist, songwriter, and accidental singer. She educated herself in the Edmonton music scene finding her sound amongst the blend talented Jazz drop outs, self-taughts, classically trained, and hippy folks. Finding magic playing together around camp fires and collaborating at open stages all while forging local legends. She currently fronts the band The Black Wonders and plays Bass in Edmonton’s Swear by the Moon. The highlight of her career came in the summer of 2017 when the Black Wonders opened for North Carolina’s Jonathan Byrd. Vocally a Contralto Kellman’s delivery is often compared to Tracy Chapman, however, Nadine prefers clean toned vintage Stratocaster’s and J-45’s and songs with rude lyrics.

DJ Konstantine (Dirtbag Café, 9:00 – 11:00 p.m.)

DJ Konstantine’s love of music has taken him across North America. His DJ career began when he would remix bands music for radio stations and other DJs. His mix of The Craft Economy’s single Big Purse Lil' Dawg reached the number 4 position on CBC Radio where it charted for 11 weeks. This multi-disciplined performer has performed in various theatres and clubs including the Winspear, Citadel, Latitude 53, The Needle Tavern, The Vancouver Playhouse Toronto's Buddies in Bad Times and Sound Academy. Attributing a dance and singing background to his success, his connection with music lovers is palpable as he favours keeping vocals in his mixes and driving fans to dance – as well as sing. He sound mixed and designed the World Pride Toronto premiere event Truth/Dare and can be seen around YEG spinning at events including Fruit Loop, Art Camera Club, and the occasional wedding.
