Paper Cutting Workshop
Sat, 14 November 2015, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM PST
(In)visible: The Spiritual World of Taiwan through Contemporary Art explores how traditional and religious beliefs and modern values are integrated in this vibrant country. The exhibition features works by seven contemporary Taiwanese artists, who express and visualize religious beliefs, myths and the spiritual world with modern sensitivities.
To coincide with the exhibition, a Taiwanese Paper Cutting Workshop will be held at MOA facilitated by the artist Chiu Yu-Wen. The workshop will start with a quick introduction by the artist about her practice, how she got started, and what she finds most interesting about paper cutting. Participants will view examples of past works and after a demonstration will be able to create their own creations. All supplies provided and this event is for all ages.
