For parents of children with special ed needs &/or disabilities starting school Sept 2022 and the community who support them.
About this event
This is a two-part workshop: Thursdays; February 3 & 10, 2022.
This two-part virtual workshop is designed for parents whose children with special needs or disabilities will be starting school for the first time in September 2022.
Parents will attend sessions presented by TVCC's Parent Mentors and Special Education staff from the Thames Valley District School Board and the London District Catholic School Board that will explore:
• Introducing your child to the school and staff
• Communicating with your school team
• The kindergarten day
• Roles and supports within Special Education
• Positive advocacy and troubleshooting.
There will be opportunities for questions and networking throughout the workshop.
