Part 1 - Collider: a three part in-person series honouring The Past, Present, and Future of The Exchange Lab!

About this event

Part 1 - Limited seats! BC Government workers only. Part 3 will be open to everyone.

Please join us in-person on July 6, 2022, from 10 am to 12 pm, at 808 Douglas St. for the first installment of The Collider: A Three-Part Series Honouring the Past, Present, and Future of the Exchange Lab.

Many of you have heard that The Exchange Lab (The Lab) has been redesigned using the ShareSpace model. These collaborative spaces are a hub for co-creating, sharing ideas, and fostering a sense of community across government and beyond.

More than just brick walls and open spaces….

We want you to come and experience this space in-person, but most of all, we want you to come and learn about what services we offer and how we can help you accelerate and elevate the way you approach product and service delivery in this digital landscape.

For this first installment, you will learn about the evolution of The Lab and be taken on a guided tour that will feature the following teams and the services and support they offer:

  • Digital Community and Engagement
  • Common Components
  • Digital Marketplace

What is the Exchange Lab?

Since its inception in 2015, The Lab has been an experimental environment that supports teams and organizations as they build and implement digital services.

The Lab is a place to bring innovation and leave with a creation. We help remove barriers and create the capability to accelerate better service delivery to respond to the needs of British Columbians in the digital era.

Bean Bag Chairs and Chai Lattes are not Innovative. You are the Innovation!

Innovation is a word used frequently; to us, it means recognizing that innovation is an outside job.

The Lab’s philosophy is that we listen, learn, iterate and pivot mainly based on your sage feedback and comments. Therefore, you are the innovation.

Your perspective guides our next steps, and we can’t wait to see where you will take us.

What about Part 2 and 3?

Part 2 - will be announced in mid-July.

Part 3 - will culminate your feedback, advice, and comments. That’s right – you are shaping the direction of the final event in late September.

*Agenda will be sent in an Outlook Calendar invite once you have registered.
