Event description

Description

It is essential that you find someone to hire who is a good fit for your son or daughter and your family. However, hiring well is never enough. It is critically important to consider what it takes to effectively orient and train a new Support Worker in order to retain them once you have hired them. This workshop will focus on what it takes to build a mutually satisfying relationship with Support Workers over time.

Join us for the third and final part of this workshop series on hiring.

Judith has had extensive experience in helping people and their families hire and retain Personal Support Workers over the past 20 years. She has written a book aimed at families that will be published in 2019 entitled “Taking charge of Hiring Personal Support Workers”

Judith McGill is a powerful adult educator and social innovator. She has been writing and speaking about leisure identities and community building for over thirty years. Her provocative style and inspirational ideas have transformed the lives of many of the people that she has come into contact with. Judith is the Executive Director of Families for a Secure Future, an Independent Facilitation Organization.
