How to Certify Workshop - September 14

As you are aware, many great projects in COV are not Certified with PHI. The certification process either confuses or intimidates many builders and architects. On Friday, September 14, here in Vancouver, we are conducting a one-day workshop designed to take all the mystery out of PHI Building Certification.

Andrew Peel, Pierre-Andre Santin, and Monte Paulsen will co-host a one-day workshop titled How to Certify a Passive House without drama or delay. It will be hosted by ZEBx. Sign up here:

November 7 & 8 – Passive House Canada Conference is themed “Partnering for Transformation”. This conference is one of three integrated events. Passive House Canada has partnered with the Canadian Wood Council and the UN Economic Commission for Europe (which includes North America) in coordinating our three annual conferences in one time and place. Please check out the website https://conference.passivehousecanada.com/ as there are a lot of events being organized around this conference. Registration is open. Please contact Ayla@passivehousecanada.com or gabriela@passivehousecanada.com with any questions or comments.

The ice box challenge started last summer in Vancouver and our structure has now visited Seattle, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and will soon be in Pittsburgh before returning to the west coast. Check out www.iceboxchallenge.com for the latest challenge. You probably guessed that the passive house ice box is the five time champion! This project was originally funded by City of Vancouver, Passive House Canada, Vancity and many others. It is now being organized by NK Architects as well as NAPHN, and is now supported by Siga Cover, Rockwool, and Cascadia Windows.

If you have any questions or comments regarding any of these events, please do not hesitate to contact me.
