Abstract:
In April 2010 a non-aqueous phase liquid (NAPL) hydrocarbon seep was discovered by refinery environmental personnel on the southern foreshore of Burrard Inlet, down-slope of the Chevron Burnaby Refinery, British Columbia, Canada. Chevron responded immediately with soaker pads and booms. The remedial actions since then, installation of passive treatment systems, is the focus of this presentation.
