Passport to Nature: Things That Go Bump in the Night!
Fri, 28 October 2016, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM EDT
Just in time for Halloween, we invite you to join us for an evening hike – in the dark - to discover things that go bump in the night. We will learn about the effects of white light on human vision and play games to help us understand adaptations of the nocturnal animals who are most awake while we are asleep.
Dress for the evening weather. Be sure to wear sturdy footwear suitable for a hike over bumpy trails in the dark.
This hike is most suitable for families with children ages 7+. Please use judgment in regards to your own child’s comfort in the dark.
Use of flashlights will not be permitted as they hinder our night vision (although you are welcome to carry one in your pocket, turned off, if it makes you feel more secure.)
