About this event
Paul St-Amand is a trumpeter, singer, and composer based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He’s recorded with The Stanfields, Beauts, Corey Isenor, Unidentified Funk Object, Roxy & The Underground Soul Sound, and many more. Leading a quintet called Blue Spirits, Paul received a Music Nova Scotia Award nomination for 2017 Jazz Recording of the Year for the album Liquid Courage.
"Gizelle de Guzman’s tenacious sincerity and show-stopping voice has affirmed her place as a modern Country vanguard for the East Coast of Canada. Born in the Philippines, raised in Cremona, Alberta and now native to Ardoise, Nova Scotia, this singer-songwriter has embraced these transitions to help her create her signature sound which carries forward country-folk conventions of storytelling spiked with a fresh spirit of empowerment.
Gizelle continues to work to thread the needle between traditional heart and modern energy on an emotional bed of transparency, hints of the evolution heard in her latest single, “Almost Home""."
*Youth and children under 19 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
