Discerning the Voice of God in Prayer:
Friday February 17 - Sunday February 19, 2017
Little Flower Monastery Carmel Hill, BC
An Ignatian Silent Prayer Retreat on how and where to find the voice of God in one’s personal prayer, facilitated by our partner Christopher Chiu, who is also a member of SoulStream and the Jesuit Spirituality Apostolate of Vancouver.
At this retreat, we will practice hearing God’s voice in the classical prayer disciplines within the Ignatian tradition, such as Ignatian Meditation (Praying with Scripture), the Examen, Ignatian Contemplation (Imaginative Prayer), etc. Our time will be spent in short teaching periods on methods of praying interspersed with long periods of solitude and silence. Spiritual Direction is available. In our 2-night track we will also practice with the tools commonly used in Ignatian discernment (e.g. consolation, desolation, Ignatian indifference).
* Cancellations with a full refund will be accepted when notified to City in Focus no less than 7 days prior to the event. Unfortunately, no refund will be issued after that time.
