Description

PEBTalks 2015 is a three hour event comprised of a number of speakers, speaking on different topics, and being curated by a member of the Project EveryBODY Steering Committee, at the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre in Vancouver.

Our goal is to bring together bright minds to give talks that are idea-focused, and on a wide range of subjects, to provide valuable information, foster learning, inspire– and provoke conversations that matter.

PEBTalks Featuring:

2:30pm – 3:00pmNaomi Brand – All Bodies Dance Group

3:00pm – 4:00pm – Cherie Devisser – A presentation on the Registered Disability Savings Plan (“RDSP”), a long-term, tax-sheltered savings option for persons with disabilities that provides up to $90,000 in government assistance. Includes an overview of the Vancity sponsored Equal Futures fee free RDSP program that assists eligible individuals to learn about, qualify and apply for an RDSP easily and efficiently.

4:00pm – 4:10pmShayne Williams – Lookout Society

4:10pm – 4:30pmIvan / William Azaroff – Hear from a parent of a boy with autism who uses his love of music as a way to help him overcome his barriers in life. Join them as they share their journey, answer questions about their experiences, and then sit back and enjoy a great rock show by a very talented 11 year old singer-songwriter.

4:30pm – 5:30pmINCOMMON TV Workshop – Participate in this amazing digital storytelling workshop where YOU are the author!
