Speaker background:
Dr. Elik is a school, clinical, and health psychologist, who has been in the process of transitioning to a full time private practice in Ancaster/Hamilton, Ontario, and completing her duties at McMaster Children's Hospital, Pediatric Chronic Pain Program. She completed her MA and PhD at the School and Clinical Child Psychology Program at OISE/University of Toronto. Her main research is on an online ADHD intervention for teachers (as a part of Dr. Penny Corkum's team at Dalhousie University). She has been also active in various smaller research projects, including on chronic pain, through supervision of Master's and Honour's theses since 2007.
