Event description

Join us for our Peninsula Wine Fest, a community-based event that will feature local wineries, as well as local food and beverages.

  • Your ticket to the Wine Tasting portion of this community event will feature 8 wineries that produce wine on the Saanich Peninsula. They will be showcasing over 20 wines. To taste your selected wines, you will receive a souvenir wine glass. To help you learn the art of wine tasting, you can sit in on the free demonstration.

  • To add to your afternoon experience, there will be appetizers and entertainment for all ages. There will be a Silent Auction, an Antique Car display, and tours of our Heritage Church.

  • Proceeds will support community and youth programs sponsored by the Parish of Central Saanich. For example, depending upon the success of the proceeds from the Wine Fest, we will support: a) The Saanich Peninsula Hospital Foundation, b) the Mount Newton Adult Day Care Centre, and c) the Outreach Program to Stelly’s School.

  • The price is $35 for the first 50 "Early Bird" tickets sold before May 22, and $45 thereafter. Upon producing appropriate identification, Seniors (over 60) and students will receive a discount of $5 (no discount will be granted on the Early Bird tickets.) Either Visa or MasterCard is acceptable online.

  • Tickets are limited to 300; purchase yours soon to avoid disappointment!

  • Tickets purchased at the door are $50, cash or cheque only, for as long as these tickets are available for sale. There are no discounts associated with these tickets.

  • Appetizers are included with your ticket, but you may purchase hot dogs. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be served.

1. Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

If it is the opinion of the Wine Fest Registration personnel that you may not be of legal drinking age, you must produce two (2) pieces of identification (one being picture ID) that will prove that you are of legal drinking age. Otherwise, you must produce one piece of identification (preferably with your picture on it). This identification process is necessary in order for you to receive your wrist band and to be allowed entry into the Wine Tasting area. The wineries pouring the samples must see your wrist band to serve you. Also, you must be of legal age to participate in the Silent Auction.

If you wish to take advantage of the discount available to Seniors (60 and over) and to students, you must also product appropriate identification. ** if the discounted ticket is sold online, you will be invited to show your ID at the door? **

If you don't wish to participate in the wine tasting, you do not have to produce any identification. Your admission is FREE, and you are still welcome to participate in the other activities available during the afternoon.
