Event description

Description

This year the Master's Students in Environmental Sustainability from the University of Ottawa will be hosting their second annual panel on local sustainability at Hub Ottawa.

Our mission is to create a dialogue on environmental issues in the National Capital Region (NCR), as well as to provide a platform for people to connect on a variety of environmental issues, and find innovative solutions to these problems. We will accomplish this in an engaging and welcoming setting of breakfast networking, for an hour and a half.

Our theme for this year is 'People Centered Sustainability', which will focus on individual action and their impacts on the environment. The issues to be discussed are 'Sustainable Agriculture and Active Transportation'. We will have local experts from these areas as panelists, to shed light on these hotly debated topics. The focus of our event are the panel discussions and the networking social, which takes place before, and after the discussions to motivate people of the NCR to become environmentally conscious, and be active participants in creating a sustainable future through local action.
