Event description

Description

Boost your garden’s resiliency and your food security by planting perennial vegetables! Join Solara Goldwynn of Hatchet & Seed for an in-depth exploration of a variety of long lived, nutrient dense food plants and a range of growing conditions.

Instructor Bios:

Solara Goldwynn is a permaculture consultant, educator, plant propagator, and farm market manager. She and her husband own Hatchet & Seed an edible landscaping and regenerative design business. She lives with her small family at Eco-Sense a permaculture homestead and nursery in Victoria BC.

Matt Gravel is a Victoria based permaculturist with a passion for living and sustainable systems. Captivated by nature and the outdoors at a young age, he comes by this honestly. With 10 years property maintenance and conventional landscaping experience, he became tired of the unsustainable and non-regenerative practices in urban environments and wanted to find a way to change urban spaces. Now Matt operates and small nursery, design and education business; Plant Buoy: Life Preservation Plants and is using this as a platform to empower and teach people low maintenance, easy to manage systems that can grow nutrient dense food and medicine while working with the constraints of nature and regenerating urban landscapes.
