Effective performance management results in the development of employees and maximizes their contributions to the organization. In this workshop, participants will learn how to engage in ongoing, two-way dialogue about expectations, priorities and performance all using Radical Candor. Radical Candor is a philosophy in which leaders can demonstrate that they Care Personally but at the same time can also Challenge Directly. This workshop will introduce core concepts of Radical Candor that will lead into tactics that everyone will practice immediately.

Participants will:

1. Discuss the importance and purpose of strong performance management in their organization

2. Identify key behaviours to engage in ongoing, two-way dialogue that leads to growth of employees

3. Explore what drives power: relationships or power?

4. Understand and apply core concepts of Radical Candor into feedback provided during regular dialogue with employees

5. Identify strategies to drive results collaboratively with your team



Targeted to small-to-medium sized London, Ontario business operators/managers. Priority sectors include Digital Creative, Professional Services, Manufacturing, Food Processing, and Health and Life Sciences.

About the speaker - Cheryl deHoog:

Cheryl is currently the principal of deHoog & Associates Consulting and has held Vice President and Director Roles in large Fortune 500 companies where her focus has been on change management, organization development, training, group collaboration, performance and talent pool management.

She brings more than 25 years of experience leading or being the senior change management. She has demonstrated strengths in leading decisively, thriving in chaos, inspiring others, exercising political influence and initiating independently. She is a collaborative, strategic yet practical individual who has exceptional communication, facilitation, people and project management skills.

Cheryl is a graduate and certified in Adult Education from St. Frances Xavier University, studied Human Resource Strategy – Executive Program from Harvard University, certified in AIM – Accelerated Implementation Methodology and HR Strategy and Leadership Practices from the HR Planning Society plus various other assessment tools and courses.
