Presented by Persephone Brewing Co., Tough Kegger is the world’s first adventure race with beer. Passing through rainforest trails on BC's Sunshine Coast, teams of four race on foot over a 7km course through rugged terrain - and here's the catch: teams have to complete the course carrying a full, 20L keg!
The winning team will receive the Tough Kegger Trophy, awesome gear from Patagonia Vancouver, 40L of Persephone Beer and a jockey box rental...Boom! Insant keg party!
Runners up will receive a 20L keg of Persephone beer...did someone say backyard BBQ?

CELEBRATE PERSEPHONE's 3rd ANNIVERSARY AT BEER FARM FEST
After the race, join us in celebrating Persephone Brewing Co.'s 3rd anniversary at Beer Farm Fest! This is a family friendly, ticketed outdoor event at the Beer Farm (1053 Stewart Road, Gibsons BC) featuring a tap takeover with amazing beers from BC craft breweries, pig roast, DJ's, the live music performance of the summer by Funk Schwey and more. Tickets are $40 per person or can be purchased for $30 as part of your Tough Kegger team registration (includes general admission to the event area, one 12 oz beer serving and one food serving). Children are welcome within the event area provided they are accompanied by an adult.
HELPING OUR COMMUNITY
All funds raised from Tough Kegger and Beer Farm Fest will go to the Sunshine Coast Association for Community Living (SCACL), a community organization providing services and programs for persons with developmental disabilities on the Sunshine Coast.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Participants must be 19 years of age to register for and participate in Tough Kegger. Beer Farm Fest held after the race is a family friendly event and children are welcome within the event area provided they are accompanied by an adult.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
An event shuttle service will be provided throughout the day between Persephone Brewing and the following pedestrian pickup locations and off site parking areas:
- Langdale Ferry Terminal
- Gibsons Landing (Gower Point Road at Winegarden Park)
- Upper Gibsons - Gibsons Garden Hotel
- Upper Gibsons - Gibsons Park Plaza (overflow parking)
- Shirley Macey Park/Chamberlin Road (overflow parking)
Parking will only be provided on site at 1053 Stewart Road for registered Tough Kegger participants, however racers are encouraged to avoid driving and make use of the shuttle bus service provided between the Langdale Ferry Terminal, Gibsons, and Persephone Brewing.
What can or can't I bring to the event?
No alcohol from off premise is permitted on the site or within the event area. Racers are not permitted to bring or utilize any specialized equipment to assist with carrying their team's keg while on the course.
