Event Details

Join us for a weekend of photography, entertainment, creativity, fundraising and learning! 

On Friday, May 31, 2019, doors will open at 6:00 pm for the Perspectives Show and Fundraiser. Enjoy a multimedia presentation and art show featuring work by a group of photographers in Atlantic Canada who have challenged themselves to show their unique perspectives on a variety of themes. Live music will be performed by special guests, Flo Durelle, Ron Melanson, Terry Melanson and Noemie Auffrey-Jones. Throughout the evening, you will have the opportunity to bid on an assortment of treasures in our silent auction. You may even win a door prize from one of our sponsors. All proceeds from ticket sales for this event and all money raised in the silent auction will go directly towards the Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre in Shediac, NB.

June 1st and 2nd, we have an exciting lineup of workshops and presenters for the Professional Photographers of Canada Atlantic Region Spring Seminar. Members of the general public are welcome to attend!

1:00-3:00 pm Upcoming New Technology and Mirrorless Photography with Photographer and Lumix StorytellerFrancois MelletSponsored by Panasonic. All are welcome.

3:30-8:30 pm (with a dinner break from 5:00-6:30) Street Photography Workshop on the streets of Shediac, NB, with Photographer and Lumix StorytellerFrancois Mellet. Rain or shine, bring appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear for the weather, and don't forget your camera! Sponsored by Panasonic

10:00 am - 12:00 pm Thinking Outside The Box a hands-on workshop covering creative visualization, finding inspiration, composition and form, colour psychology, and how to apply our five basic senses: touch, sight, hearing, smell and taste to photography. With Photographer and Educator, Paula Lirette CPA.

1:00 - 3:00 pm Sharing Your Gifts - Giving Back Through Photography Creatives are asked to work for free every day, but should they? A look at how your photos can make a difference, and the ways some of our PPOC Atlantic members use their photography to help those in need. With Photographer and Educator, Paula Lirette CPA and PPOC Atlantic 2018 Photographic Artist of the Year, Tracy Munson.

A limited number of rooms will be set aside at the Hotel Shediac and will be held on a first come, first served basis until April 30th, 2019.
