Description

What Does Pharmacare Mean for You?

It means that the medication/pharmaceuticals you need would be covered by the federal government.

Let’s talk about a change that could save our country billions of tax dollars and hundreds of lives each year! A multitude of economists, statisticians and research groups would agree that this Pharmacare Program would do just that!

Help implement the change that would get our governments supporting its population. Making medicine accessible to everyone - this is "A Plan for Everyone."

On May 1, 2018, we can have an open discussion about the impact of supporting this Pharmacare Program. We, as Canadians, can come together and show our federal government to support the preventative healthcare that we need.

No one should have to choose between the medication they need and their groceries!

...As you may know, the Federal Liberal government has created a HESA – A Committee for the Development of a National Pharmacare Program. It was created to study the impacts of a Pharmacare system – and what it means for Canadians.

This creation of HESA fell extremely short as to what the Liberal Government had promised those working on this vital extension to our Medicare system – that being said, the time is Now to put the pressure on! Show the Government of Canada that Canadians can and will fight for this medical requisite - A Pharmacare system that is universal and comprehensive.

Many are taking action, join the momentum with Friends of Medicare, the Canadian Labour Congress, the Alberta Federation of Union Retirees, the Calgary & District Labour Council in working with thousands of Albertans to show our federal government that this is something that Canadians want.

Come join us May 1st to be part of a monumental time in Canadian history.
