You Will Learn:

  • How to handle and care for you camera equipment
  • A better understanding of the buttons. setting and menus
  • How to take sharper, more creative photos of families, pets, vacations, nature, etc...
  • How to creating stronger photos using composition
  • Exposure control using ISO, Shutter Speed and Aperture
  • How to shoot in full manual* mode

* Some learners may find full manual too cumbersome and choose to stay working in other modes.  This is perfectly normal and there are professional photographers who never shoot in manual mode.

Who Is This For:

This course is designed with the beginner to intermediate photographers in mind.  If you are frustrated with blurry, dark and blown out photos and simply want to get your camera out of Auto Mode and take control, then this course is for you.  If you have been shooting for a while but you're still not sure what things like Aperture and ISO really mean, then you'll get your answers here.  Or, maybe you're ready to take the plunge into shooting in manual mode this will also be introduced.

Still not sure if this course is for you?  Send me a message and we can chat to determine if it's the best solution.

  • At the end of the course there will be a Sunday morning field trip, likely to Rondeau Provincial Park (or other local location).  This will be the perfect opportunity to put all your learning into action while still supported by the group and instructor.  Participation is optional.
