About this event
Learn what it takes to work with non profits - for pay or as a volunteer - in this hands-on photography workshop at Project Somos Children’s Learning Village in Guatemala.
Come join us in the Central Highlands of Guatemala for a unique photography workshop that blends the experience of Susan Ryan Kalina, a Chicago-based photographer and former photojournalist, with the non-profit expertise of Heather Knox, co-founder of Project Somos and photographer. Together Heather and Susan will share their skills and insights, all within the grounds of a bustling non-profit and set against open skies and surrounding volcanoes.
During the workshop we will dig deep into composition and the elements of storytelling, work on moment-based photography, and discuss what it takes to work with non-profit organizations.
