Art, design, fashion and photography - teens are interacting with these things in a way they never have before. This is the first generation in which every person is a published artist - curating their own work and sharing their voice on a platform that gives them access to the world. Imagery has taken on a new level of importance. Todays teens are speaking through photography.
This class will explore what that means. Students will examine and discuss conceptual photography - helping them better understand what their images mean and how they are perceived by others. We will explore photography using everything from pinhole cameras and a dark room, phones, DSLR's, design and conceptualization. This class will give students the knowledge and understanding they need to use their social media platform in a way that lets them express their voice and truly speak through the art of photography.
This class runs every second Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:00 beginning September 21st and ending April 26th. There will be no classes during school holidays.
