Photoshop 101 for Costume Professionals

Are you working in the industry and want to brush up on your Photoshop skills, or maybe you're new Photoshop altogether? This full weekend workshop for costume professionals will be covering all the basics required for working in the industry.
How to use your camera properly (dials, modes, aperture, depth of focus)
Importing your photos (iphoto issues, how to find them)
Basic overview of tools palette
Organizing and customizing your workflow
Fixing lighting, colour, and touch-ups on your images
Basic touch-ups (healing, cloning)
Opportunity for participants to have time with instructor for other photoshop issues and queries
Participants must bring laptops with access to Photoshop.
Refreshments and light snacks will be provided but particpants should bring their own lunches.

About the instructor
As well as having completed a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Geography, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Image Arts Photography and a Masters in Fine Arts in Photography, Elaine Chan-Dow has instructed Photography at York University. In addition, she hosts her own course “Instagram for Makers”, providing instruction on how to take and enhance photographs for Instagram.
Elaine’s award-winning photographic works have been on display in multiple exhibits throughout Ontario and NYC. She currently has a studio in the Distillery District, where she both works on her own and commissioned projects as well as instructs photography classes.
