PHP Testing Bootcamp (3 Week Course)
Monday, 13 August 2012 from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM (EDT)
If you've been using PHP for any length of time, you will understand how easy it is to create a code base that is like a nice bowl of spaghetti and difficult to write automated tests for. Join Chris Hartjes, the author of The Grumpy Programmer's Guide To Building Testable PHP Applications for a 3 week course that will whip your PHP testing skills into shape.
- Why Automated Tests Are Valuable
- Dependency Injection and Demeter's Law
- Test-Driven Development and Behaviour-Driven Development
- Testing Patterns and Anti-Patterns
This course will be hands on, students are expected to be already comfortable with writing PHP code and familiar with using command line interfaces.
