In conjunction with the BC AWARE Campaign (www.bcaware.ca), ASIS is proud to offer this event.

Presenting on the linkages between physical and cyber security, BCLC's security leadership will be demonstrating the benefits of convergence. Please join us for this engaging luncheon to learn how, using BCLC as an example, both physical and cyber security must work cohesively as part of a broader security management program to mitigate the risks of today's evolving threat landscape.

Kevin Sweeney - BCLC, Director of Security, Privacy and Compliance

Kevin Sweeney leads the execution of Security, Compliance and Privacy strategies, programs and processes for risk control, partner and asset protection and compliance with relevant acts, legislation, policies and procedures and helps influence and drive consistent compliance strategies and practices, threat assessment and asset protection approaches to mitigate loss, litigation risk and protect the BCLC brand.

Kevin has over 22 years of experience in the security industry and has held senior management positions within both the Private and Public Sector in various areas such as asset protection, physical security, investigations, compliance, risk management and cyber security. Kevin is board certified in Risk Management, holds the Certification for International Counter-Cybercrime Professionals (CICP) and has been called upon as a subject matter expert for the JIBC and the Canadian Gaming Industry in the development of various curriculum and training programs as well has been called upon to be an expert witness for court purposes.

Mark Lane - BCLC, Senior Manager, Cyber Security

Mark Lane has a broad range of expertise in information security, corporate governance and assurance with an extensive career helping organizations identify, manage and respond to technology risk.

Mark has almost 20 years of IT experience, working for top tier companies including Deloitte and Touche LLP where he lead a team of professional hackers. At the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games he served as the IT Security Duty Manager. Mark has also worked for large security companies in both the UK and Ireland. In addition to his extensive work experience in cyber security, Mark has a Master’s Degree in Security and Forensic Computing and a Batchelor’s degree in Computer Applications with Software Engineering from the Dublin City University. Mark also holds an array of information security industry certifications including CISSP, CISA and CISM.
