Pibòn (Winter) Festival - Family Event

Festival Highlights:

Thursday Dec. 8 and Friday Dec. 9th 5pm to 8pm

• Indigenous Night Market - Visit over 40 Indigenous vendors in the pavilion and marketplace for an early shopping experience.
• Participate in a paint night with Rhonda Snow (Pre-purchase when you Register - $40 per person)
• Enjoy the bonfire and food available on site.

Saturday Dec. 10 and Sunday Dec. 11

• Get crafty at the make & take Caribou Antler Earring workshop (Suitable for ages 8+. Must pre-purchase - $30 per person).
• Meet the rare and endangered Ojibwe Spirit Horses and listen to their story of survival and resilience with Spirit Horse Advocate Artist Rhonda Snow
• Shop the Indigenous makers market with over 40 Indigenous vendors selling onsite all weekend and online.
• Enjoy live cultural performances and storytelling on the Celebration Stage Saturday and Sunday - 10:30 am Traditional Opening and Welcome, 11am /1pm/3pm / Pow Wow Dance, 12pm/2pm/4pm Inuit Throat Singing
• Savour winter comfort foods with an Indigenous twist - Hearty Buffalo Stew, fried bannock, hot traditional teas, carbonated waters (Ziibiins Nibi) or Maple Hot chocolate.
• Enjoy bannock cooked over the fire AND bring your own bannock mix and instructions home with you. (Pre-purchase when you Register $15.00 per person).
• Walk the Legacy Trail and gain traditional knowledge about the change of seasons and moons and the plants and medicines that are important to Indigenous culture.
• Visit the Reconciliation Rock Station, choose an orange rock, add a message, picture or sentiment of reconciliation to take home or leave as a legacy on-site.
• Feed the small animals from the farm and enjoy some farm play on the hay bales & teeter-totter.
• Enjoy a horse drawn wagon ride through the property 12-3pm.
