Sharon Bala, author of The Boat People and CBC's Canada Reads contender took inspiration for her debut novel from exhibits at the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21. We look forward to welcoming her back on Wednesday, April 4 for discussion about her experience writing The Boat People and a reading. A Q&A and book signing will follow the event.

Come prepared: From 6:00 p.m. to 6:45 p.m., participants are invited to tour the Museum's new exposition Refuge Canada as preparation for Sharon’s talk.
