Spotlight City Events is pleased to announce the return of its most popular event, Pintxos Toronto. Now in its third year, Pintxos Toronto (pronounced pinch-ohs, and taken from the Basque name for tapas) is a celebration of tapas culture and the food & drink of Spain.
West-enders will rejoice as this year’s feria de tapas moves west of the core to Liberty Market and will not only feature some of Toronto’s best Spanish restaurants and tapas bars dishing out Spanish fare with Toronto flare, but also many Liberty Market favourites doing their takes on Iberian bar snacks as well.

Our events gather the best local chefs, pop-ups and caterers in the city and offer them the opportunity to expand their repertoires and cook dishes not normally offered on their restaurant menus, giving them the freedom to experiment and push boundaries. Previous events like “SLURP!” (ramen), Yum Cha (dim sum), and Pintxos: A celebration of tapas (Basque-style small bites) garnered praise from chefs and attendees alike for offering innovative dishes, short lines and an exciting atmosphere. Spotlight City also championed gourmet food truck culture in Southern Ontario organizing the original food truck festival and awards: AwesTRUCK.
Recipe For Success
Never satisfied with resting on our laurels and basking in past glories, Spotlight City Events has big plans in store for the 2016 season including the return of some classics and the introducution of some new events that will raise the bar for food events in Toronto. And as always we’ll throw in a few mouth-watering surprises just to keep things interesting.
