Hosted by the Energy Bioengineering and Geomicrobiology Group in The University of Calgary and chaired by Dr. Marc Strous, the half-day Pioneers of Metagenomics - Environment and Health 2019 minisymposium will take place on Friday, August 23, 2019.

This minisymposium will be held in EEEL 161 on The University of Calgary main campus, EEEL building, 750 Campus Drive NW, University of Calgary, T2N 4H9. It is open to all and free of charge, but the registration will be required for food and seating planning purpose. Tea, coffee, and snacks will be served.

  • 3:00 pm - 3:45 pm Dr. Marc Strous, University of Calgary, Proteomics and stable isotopes to unravel the ecology of microbial mat microbiomes
  • 3:45 pm - 4:30 pm Dr. Carolina Tropini, University of British Columbia, Dynamics of microbiota communities during physical perturbation
