Natural Gas in Ontario --- A Critical Time of Opportunity
Natural gas supply across the continent is undergoing major fundamental shifts as the industry’s low cost shale supply outperforms all forecasts, reducing costs for gas consumers across the continent. Clearly it is a time of change for the North American gas industry, but what does this mean for Ontario?
Ontario is the largest natural gas consuming province in Canada. It is also next door to the most prolific shale basin on the continent. Ontario has tremendous geographical advantage. Ontario is also home to Dawn, the second largest physically traded market hub in North America. It has the largest storage capacity in Canada and is the only significant storage hub in the Appalachian area. Ontario stands to benefit by attracting this low cost supply to our province…. To homes, businesses, industries and power generators.
At this seminar you’ll hear how Ontario is responding to the gas opportunity and how that will play into future electricity generation plans.
