+PlaceMaker: The Resilient City
Thu, 27 April 2017, 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM EDT
In May 2016, Toronto joined the 100 Resilient Cities network, which is helping the City to develop a comprehensive resilience strategy. Resilience planning helps cities prepare to deal with the effects of a changing climate, and issues like social inequity, aging infrastructure and housing affordability. To be successful, plans have to effectively address the interdependencies between different communities, services and structures.
Join CUI on April 27th to learn from the City of Toronto and experts in power, transportation, the natural environment and community services about the importance of understanding the interdependencies of urban systems in developing actionable plans for more resilient cities.
