Description

Have you ever wanted to hold an event in your neighbourhood but didn't know where to start?

Did you know that the City of London has resources that can help? Come to our January workshop to meet like-minded people, learn about the resouces the City has to offer and start planning your event!

A few examples of the resources the City has to offer include:

  • Funding (up to $500)
  • Equipment (tents, tables, giant games)
  • Streamlined Booking Process for events in parks
  • Outdoor Movies

After a brief presentation, we will get down to business, discussing your event ideas and starting project plans with the support of facilitators experienced in neighbourhood event organizing.

Facilitators will include:

Wes Kinghorn (President of the Urban League of London, organizer of Woodfield Historic Street Fair)

Karen Oldham, (Manager, Neighbourhood Development and Support, lead on Outdoor Movie Nights, supporter of Argyle Art in the Park, organizer of Balconies Beautiful)

Ryan Craven (Supervisor, Community Development, organizer of Car Free Day, Dundas Street Festival, Grickle Grass Festival)
