Event description

Description

The plant-based way of eating* is a growing movement, and for good reason. It’s the only way of eating proven to prevent and reverse our most common chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, some cancers, arthritis, IBS, dementia, and many more. It gives us more energy and clearer thinking. Plant-based food is delicious, easy, and can be cheaper than any other way of eating.

Adopting a plant-based lifestyle can have its challenges (learning new recipes, feeling like an out-sider, etc.). The Abbey Café and Gallery wants to help you feel empowered to start or continue your plant-based lifestyle. Join us for a monthly peer discussion group and mix and mingle with like-minded people. Coaches from SLS Health Coaching will be on-hand to assist.

A focused discussion will take place from 4:30-5:30.

Free admission. Seats are limited.

The kitchen will be open if you'd like to order some delicious plant-based food.

*A plant-based way of eating is centered on whole, unrefined, or minimally refined fruits, vegetables, tubers, whole grains, and legumes, and excludes or minimizes meat (including chicken and fish), dairy products, eggs, and highly refined foods.
