Description
Platform is Vancouver’s first media case competition curated by SFU students. With Mobi | Shaw Go as our 2017 sponsor, Platform’s goal is to act as stepping-stones for students and local businesses to reach success together. Through genuine interactions, engaging digital content, and the latest tips from industry professionals, we’d love to showcase your talents and passions through social media.
The annual case competition will take place at Simon Fraser University on March 4th and will end on the 5th.

Workshop #1 - The Main Ingredients for Social Media Campaigns

What You’ll Learn!
- the core elements needed to build a practical and achievable social media marketing campaign (i.e. product/brand analysis, target audience, marketing channels, tactics, measuring effectiveness)
- tips and examples that are applicable to established companies with their own persona/brand
- highlight important aspects that can be applied to the competition’s 24-hours time limit.

“In today’s digital age, engagement is one of the most important metrics that a brand or organization can measure, especially in the realm of social.
In this workshop, we’ll discuss what consumer engagement really means. Then, we’ll define the different components of a winning social media engagement strategy, including audience, channels, and measurement. We’ll take a closer look at engagement tools and tactics, and bring this to life through real life examples and case studies. Bring your questions!”
