Playing with Strategy with LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methods Certification

Join us for LSP Advanced Certification training for strategy makers. The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology system is the perfect tool for preparing for the unexpected.

Too often, strategic planning is a misplaced term that really only means work planning. You need to see this powerful tool in action if:

• Your organization or business clients are finding themselves unprepared and unsure of what to do next;

• Your organization or clients keep solving the wrong problems;

• Leaders discover key individuals are confused and misaligned when it comes to making important decisions;

• Tactics deployed lack imagination and creative problem solving;

• People are frozen or stalled and lack the ability to think on their feet.

This is a fast-paced and jam-packed program. Be prepared to become immersed in deep-level thinking. The training is based on our work with real clients, and we will present client cases in areas such as in health care, government, and private industry. The underpinnings of our strategy work are based on the work and research of the founding fathers of LSP—Johan Roos and Bart Victor—as well as their collaborations with Statler and Burgi. We have built upon this method by adding current and state-of-the-art thinking used by industry giants such as Procter & Gamble, as well as by government agencies such municipalities, hospitals, and Departments of Defence.

All organizations, no matter their size, require strategic thinking to ensure their success and sustainability within an ever-changing external environment. When you have the right tools in your took kit, along with the appropriate mindset, facilitating this process uncovers amazing results.

Here is how our program runs:

Day One: December 14, 2022, 9:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m PST

On this day you will do a deep dive into pre-work and setting the stage for your session, working with your problem owner or client. We will provide templates, cards, and other tools and tips to get you started and pave the way for a professionally developed workshop. This will ensure you have an excellent session.

Day Two: December 15, 2022, 9:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m PST

On this day we will be exploring and discovering methods and practices. This will ensure we conduct a complete 3D thinking analysis. We will be using tabletop strategy to uncover all the hidden components. We will be working with a live client to apply the method via problem-based learning. On this day we will use critical analysis to ensure we identify and address all stakeholders and external elements.

Day Three: December 16, 2022, 9:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m PST

On this day we will prototype and test new solutions. We will be using our in-house playing with strategy cards for threat casting. We will use creative problem solving to provide the opportunity to create and discover infinite possibilities. We will build action project boards and explore which management methods work best to get the job done while utilizing all available resources.

Along with your manual, you will also receive templates you can use to better understand clients’ needs, research articles, LSP diagnostic cards, sample roadmaps for visioning and succession planning, and cases where you need to help people out-imagine the competition and all other situations where strategic thinking and core senior team alignment is critically required.

Remember, you can apply all workshop formats to sessions for mergers & acquisitions, new product development, disaster planning, risk management, service design and re-design, and business model planning.
