Event description
Positive Energy invites you to attend the 2nd day of a 4-day virtual conference with other senior energy decision-makers.

About this event

The policy-regulatory nexus in Canadian energy decision-making has grown increasingly complex. Navigating the tensions between regulatory independence and democratic accountability through policymakers is no small task.

On Day 2 of the Positive Energy virtual conference, which will convene senior leaders from business, government, Indigenous communities, civil society and the academy for a series of interactive virtual sessions from Monday May 31 to Thursday June 3, the speakers will discuss the past, present and future of these tensions, illustrated through multiple case studies and a public art project entitled Ears of the Earth.

Speakers

  • Mike Cleland, Senior Fellow, Positive Energy, uOttawa
  • Rowland Harrison, Research Affiliate, Positive Energy, uOttawa and Former Permanent Member, National Energy Board
  • Cameron Cross, Art Consultant, Positive Energy, uOttawa and Public Artist

Moderator

  • Tabatha Bull, President and CEO, Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business
