Event description

Description

On November 30th, the Department of Political Science is planning an exclusive breakfast event for graduate students. At the event, graduate students will participate in informal breakfast table discussions with two alumni guests.

Alexa Degagne received her MA and PhD from UofA. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Women's Studies at Athabasca University and a visiting scholar in Sexuality Studies at York University. Her research focuses on the relationship between LGBTQ social movement organizations, and police organizations in Canada. Alexa also works on many social justice projects in Edmonton.

Evan Romanow serves as Chief of Staff to the Deputy Minister of Executive Council in the Government of Alberta (GoA). Since completing BA and MA degrees in Political Science at the UofA, he has served in various senior management positions throughout the GoA. He is an active community volunteer and a proud husband and father.

Come talk to our alumni guests about their transition to the professional world, as well as their unique work experiences in past and current positions.

Registration is free but seating is limited so sign-up now!

We can only guarantee seats for the first nine people who register. If all of the spots are taken but you still want to come, contact Meagan Auer at meauer@ualberta.ca

Students are required to pay for any food and beverages that they may consume at the event.
