Description

DIG IN! and UofT B.E.E.S is joining the Sierra Club with hosting a Pollinator Workshop! Come learn about the importance of bees, reasons for declining native bee populations, and actions you can take to help native bees. You'll even get to bring home native plants and taste some local honey made with the help of Ontario's honeybees!

Our guest speaker for the event is Gillian Leitch: Creating new ways of living in harmony with nature, Gillian is a lead landscape designer at Alter Eden. Helping Bee City Canada align pollinator habitat and education intitiatives, she also sits on the City of Toronto Pollinator Working Group. Beekeeping across the Great Lakes Basin has her enthralled with the intersection of pollinators, art, and ecology.
