Portage the Prairies Dirt Dash
Portage the Prairies Dirt Dash!
Presented by: Austin Credit Union & Portage Credit Union Golden West CFRY MIX 96.5 Country 93.1 Portage Online
Mud, sweat and beers. That’s the name of the game for Portage la Prairie Community Revitalization Corporation’s (PCRC) first annual Portage the Prairies Dirt Dash, an exciting new fundraising event set for Saturday, September 24, 2016. As the inaugural mud run to take place in our city, Portage the Prairies Dirt Dash aims to send hundreds of enthusiastic (and dirty) participants through a grueling 5 kilometer (appx.) obstacle course constructed throughout the Rotary Republic of Manitobah Park. This event is open to the masses, complete with BBQ, beer gardens and spectator viewing. Costumes are highly recommended, and the crazier the costume, the better! So whether participating as part of a team, or as an optimistic individual, this run is guaranteed to get downright dirty.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Yes. Participants must be 18 years old and up to participate. Photo ID is mandatory for participants to receive their registration package the day of the event.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Secure storage solutions will be available to rent onsite for a fee. We recommend you bring a change of clothes! While outside food and beverages are allowed on site, NO outside alcohol is permitted.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
PCRC: 204-240-7272 or email@example.com
What is the refund policy?
No refunds or ticket transfers. All sales final.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
No. Please fill out the registration information exactly as your name appears on photo ID. ID is required on the day of the event to receive your participant package.
Is there an ATM on site?
There is no ATM on site, please be prepared with cash for additional purchases at the event (beer gardens, merchandise, vendors, BBQ). There is an ATM located in the CO-OP Gas Bar, located at 150 River Rd. (Appx 850 m from site)
What's the dress code?
First of all, wear something that you are okay with getting dirty. Seriously. There is no avoiding it! Additional, make sure you are comfortable and able to move freely, as each obstacle will present a different challenge. Participants will receive an official Portage the Prairies Dirt Dash buff as part of their registration, and official T-Shirts are also available for purchase. Oh, and costumes. Costumes are not required, but are encouraged (especially for teams). The wilder, the better!
Where can I park?
There are several parking lots at the event site. Overflow traffic will be directed to additional lots/parking spaces by traffic attendants.
So how do I get rid of all this mud?
We will have a 'Wash Zone' on site where you can hose off to the best of your ability. But don't worry-there's always someone dirter than you hanging out in the beer gardens.
