Description

Join us on Monday, August 28th as we welcome Chris Henderson to Chartier for an interactive presentation on the value of positivity in politics.

With experience as a strategic planner, facilitator, campaign manager and writer across all orders of government, Chris Henderson has developed his public relations skills through a variety of campaigns, legislation and public policy initiatives. Chris joined Calder Bateman Communications as a Strategist in early January 2011, spending the previous eight years working with the University of Alberta Students’ Union, including three years as Director of Research & Political Affairs, advising student executives and other elected members in all policy areas concerning the University.

Outside of his formal policy and communications work, Chris acted has acted as campaign manager on successful municipal election campaigns in 2007, 2010, and 2013 (for now-Edmonton Mayor Don Iveson) and has advised on dozens of campaigns and efforts throughout the Alberta and across Canada, both on the provincial level.

Chris will be discussing the value of running a positive campaign platform, which was instrumental to the success of the 2013 election of Mayor Don Iveson. His 45 minute presentation will be followed with an open Q&A to help answer specific questions as well as a networking opportunity for candidates to get to know one another.

Tickets are $40 each, and include light snacks and one glass of beer or wine (additional beverages available for purchase).

We welcome all municipal candidates from Beaumont & Leduc to participate, limited space available.
