Event description

Description

It is with heavy hearts that we make the following announcement:

Along with many non-profit arts organizations across the country, the Station Arts Centre has had to close its doors due to continued uncertainty surrounding COVID19. With this, we have had to cancel all programs, art exhibits and facility rentals for the foreseeable future.

The following Station programs have been postponed:

Christine Tasssan et les Imposteurs - April 1

The Fitzgeralds - May 2

The following Station Programs have been cancelled for 2020:

Community Appreciation Party - May 23

Summer Theatre Production - July 4 - 26

This is to ensure the safety of artists, patrons and staff as the health and well-being of our community is our first priority. The Station Arts Centre Board of Directors, Executive Directors and the Tea Room are working together to ensure we are doing the best for the Station and those we serve. The Station will remain closed for an indefinite period. Our goal is to re-open when we feel it is safe to do so according to the Government of Saskatchewan and all other organizations.

IF YOU ARE AN OSAC SUBSCRIBER:

We will be contacting you via phone and/or email in the coming weeks and are working through the finalization of postponed concerts. We are currently lining everything up for subscribers to be able to sign up for the 2020/2021 season. We will be in touch with you!

Meet the Fitzgeralds - a family group consisting of 3-time Canadian Grandmaster Fiddle and Step Dance Champions - Tom, Kerry & Julie Fitzgerald. Stating their musical careers in the family band Everything Fitz and with roots in Canada’s renewed Ottawa Valley, The Fitzgeralds evolved to include a wide variety of material in the performances including Celtic riffle pieces, high-energy step dancing and original compositions and arrangements. Their extensive tour history includes performance with total artists; Natalie McMaster, Ireland’s Nathan Carter, Leahy, Tony McManus, and Cherish the Ladies. In 2017, The Fitzgeralds went “viral” on Facebook with over 5 MILLION views of their original choreographed dance routine. It is the rare combination of exceptional musicianship, mind-blowing step dancing, audience interaction, evident love of performing, and genuine sibling connection that resonates with audiences of all ages and sets this group apart.
