Please email artventuresstudios@gmail.com or text 716-244-2074 to request additional times if event shows sold out.The introductory workshop allows students to learn how to throw on a  potter's wheel.  You'll make one piece on the wheel then handbuild for the remainder of the class.

Bronte Harbour is beautiful for a walk at any time of the year. Lots of nice restaurants to make it an all evening event.

Welcome to our pottery wheel class for couples! In this romantic and creative experience, you and your partner will have the opportunity to learn the art of pottery together.

During the class, you'll be guided by a skilled pottery instructor who will provide step-by-step instructions and demonstrations. They will teach you the fundamentals of working with clay on a pottery wheel, allowing you to create beautiful and unique ceramic pieces.

The class will begin with an introduction to the pottery wheel, where you'll learn about its components and how it functions. The instructor will then demonstrate various techniques, such as centering the clay, shaping it, and creating different forms.

Once you've grasped the basic techniques, you and your partner will take turns at the pottery wheel, experiencing the joy and challenges of throwing clay. The instructor will be there to offer guidance and support as you work on your creations.

As a couple, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate and communicate throughout the process. You can help each other shape the clay, offer suggestions, and cheer each other on as you explore your artistic abilities.

During the class, you'll have the chance to create multiple pieces, such as bowls, cups, or vases. The instructor will also introduce you to various decorative techniques, like carving, glazing, or adding texture to your pottery.
