PPF Briefing – 1-year Check in on COVID-19

About this event

After a year of COVID-19, how are Canadians feeling about the pandemic and the various rules and supports that accompany it? Dr. Peter Loewen has been asking Canadians these questions since March 2020. Join PPF for a briefing of his findings and how attitudes are changing. Dr. Loewen has been in the field collecting public opinion data since March of 2020. This report will make connections to trends over the last year, and what they mean moving forward. Members of the media, all levels of government, and health related organizations are invited.

Date: April 20, 2021

Time: 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. ET

This report is part of PPF’s project focused on COVID-19 Vaccine Skepticism. This project is a 6-part report series focused on attitudes about COVID-19, vaccine hesitancy, public trust and support for government, and how this is all changing over time. These reports ask what lessons we might learn from a COVID-19 vaccine roll-out that can be applied more generally to vaccine skepticism. The project is authored by Dr. Peter Loewen and is based on data collected by the Media Ecosystem Observatory (MEO).

The other reports in the series can be found here.

We will be hosting similar briefing sessions ahead of each report release. You can register for remaining sessions below. These reports are responsive to the trends of the day, therefore, we will be sending more information ahead of each report.
