We're teaming up with Red Toque Creative to bring you a panel discussion like you've never experienced. Don't miss this if you have ever wondered the following questions:

  • Was that email appropriate?
  • Should I use emojis in that?
  • Did that sound professional or petty?
  • How is social media impacting businesses today?

We'd love to have you there as our Founder and our Operations Manager share their stories, experiences, and insights into all things public relations.

Meet our panelists:

Nazaneen Dizai - Founder, 50th Parallel PR

Naz is a marketing, communications and public relations consultant from Windsor, Ontario. She is the owner and principal of 50th Parallel Public Relations, a communications firm on a mission to be the best socially motivated, community advocating, public relations company in the Valley.

For the last 7 years, Naz has worked in public relations for organizations that include the Canadian Mental Health Association, Corus Entertainment, the Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council. Her clients are leaders in innovation and include Nikita Marketing Communications for Kitsumkalum Treaty, Prime Chophouse and Wine Bar, By the Booth, the #WeAreYQQ Project, CV Raise a Reader and the Children’s Foundation Vancouver Island.

Hannah Wilcox - Director of Operations, 50th Parallel PR

Hannah Wilcox moved to Vancouver Island from Los Angeles, CA. She has a background in social media and marketing, consisting of content development, brand awareness, and influencer and community relations. Previous companies include Hinterland Studio, Fullscreen and The Video Genome Project. Passionate about the nature and the outdoors, the move to Vancouver was a natural fit. In her free time, Hannah loves to hike, swim and explore beautiful Vancouver Island.

Kelsey Woods - Director, Red Toque Creative

Kelsey Wood leads a team of 5 creatives as Social Marketing & Brand Communications Director at digital marketing company Red Toque Creative. She is also the Human Resources Specialist at First Credit Union where her goal is to elevate employee experience by helping to build organizational capability. Kelsey has a degree in Psychology from UBC and is currently working towards her Certified Professional in Human Resources designation. When she isn’t glued to a screen she spends her time exploring the Island in a camper van with her husband Nick or working at her family’s vineyard in the Comox Valley. Yolanda Holderness - Social Media Specialist, Red Toque Creative

Yolanda Holderness is a Social Media Specialist responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring social media strategy for a variety of clientele in the retail, music, beauty, health, home decor, and natural resource sectors throughout BC. She’s been working with the digital marketing team at Red Toque Creative since 2017. Yolanda is also a published photographer, specializing in lifestyle, wedding and portrait photography. Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Yolanda lives and works in Campbell River with her partner Kris and their Australian Shepherd Finn.
