If you are a service provider or health care professional who has an active role in supporting women and their families, please join us for this free event at the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy (Lecture Hall 1004).

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Lisa Graves

Lisa Graves is a family physician and graduate of the University of Ottawa. She completed her residency in family medicine and enhanced skills training in maternal and child health at McGill University. She maintains an active practice including addictions with a special interest in women, substance use and pregnancy. She is an author of over 50 peer reviewed papers including a number related to substance use and pregnancy/breastfeeding. Her clinical, teaching and research interests include medical education, maternal/child health and vulnerable populations.

Dr. Graves will join us to talk about substance use, pregnancy and breastfeeding including myths about substance use and breastfeeding and evidence-based recommendations for women using opioid substitution therapy who are pregnant and/or wanting to breastfeeding.
