Description

Now that you have written that short story, novella or novel, what do you do? Preparing a manuscript involves some serious editing techniques. Alex McGilvery has the tools to help you through this process so that you will feel confident when you present your manuscript to a professional editor, whether you are looking to self-publish, submit to a magazine or find a traditional publisher.

Bio:

Alex McGilvery is an author and editor, who has recently moved to Winnipeg from Flin Flon. He has published fantasy, science fiction, contemporary young adult and horror in both novels and collections. His first thriller is coming out on July 29, 2017. He’s been editing for several years and has edited Amazon best-sellers. His philosophy of writing is to ask, Does it work?” All other rules are negotiable. Alex was a member of the Flin Flon Writers Guild and is a member of the Alliance of Independent Authors and the Manitoba Writers’ Guild.

Book press release:

On July 29th, 2017 at Sam’s Place (159 Henderson Hwy), Alex McGilvery will be launching his first thriller. ‘Wendigo Whispers’ is set in a fictional town in northern Manitoba. Leigh is a school teacher, who takes a job in isolated Spruce Bay, trying to rebuild her life after a devastating psychotic break. Her husband, Jim, is assigned to the RCMP detachment, there. She adores her work and the community, but the night she has another break, a teacher is brutally murdered. Something evil is hunting Spruce Bay; Leigh and Jim are in its way.

While the location is fictional; the challenges facing the community are all too real. Alex weaves a story, which is hard to put down.
